Beginnings….
“I had been working as a Caregiver for the elderly for 8 years when I saw an ad for Bravecare in 2016. I thought at the time: “Well, I’ll check out what kind of agency it is.” At the time I thought I was taking a risk, after all, I had chosen a brand I didn’t know, but I wanted to try something new. Years of working as a Caregiver developed in me courage and openness to emerging challenges. In the end, I was convinced by the attractive offer and the really high salary! I made the decision to go with Bravecare on assignment.
Cooperation with Bravecare
That was a shot at 10! Truly a happy coincidence, because today, after years I can say that never before in many years of working as a Caregiver, no company has provided me with such professional support when I have an assignment abroad.
I found great “coordinators”, and they were Witold Chmielewski and Michał Kwiatkowski – founders of Bravecare. It was they who contacted me during the assignment, regularly called me asking how the cooperation with the ward and family was going. I felt that they really cared about my well-being and working conditions. It was the first time in my career as a Caregiver that I met with such care, support and help when I needed it. It’s been 7 years and the founders of Bravecare are still my mentors, who with their daily work and interest show how important employees are to them.
The Way from the Caregiver to the Coordinator and Head of the Kraków Branch
After a year of cooperation I got an “unrejectable proposal”! The bosses suggested that I set up a new branch of Bravecare in Krakow! Today I am lucky to work with a good team that I created and which I can proudly boast about. Together with Bożena Jaszewska, Katarzyna Trykoszko and Anna Gdula we are a great, cheerful team. We support each other, share responsibilities and together we make sure that our carers work well.
Valuable experience
I learned a lot working as the Caretaker and then as the Coordinator. I have 15 years of experience in the care industry, and it’s really “a piece of life”. In my career I still experience different situations; difficult and demanding, but also beautiful and touching moments.
I will not say that it is always easy, every day is different, but it is thanks to this that we develop as people, and at the same time we improve our competences and gain new professional experience.
Basia’s motto…
If I were to share my motto, I would say, “Be calm and focused, but don’t forget to have a sense of humor, understanding and distance. Respect the people you work with and care for them like a treasure.”
